Ingredients

  • cup coconut oil (unmelted)
  • cup brown sugar
  • cup white sugar
  • cup apple sauce
  • 1 cup bread flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • tsp salt
  • cup dark chocolate chips roughly chopped.

Instructions

  1. Set oven to 350 F.
  2. Put the coconut oil in a mixing bowl along with the sugar. Use a stand mixer or a hand mixer and whisk together until the mixture is fluffy and well combined. Could take 5-10 minutes depending on your mixer.
  3. Add the apple sauce to the mixture. Whisk until combined.
  4. Add the vanilla extract , salt and baking powder along with the bread flour. Combine.
  5. Add the chocolate chips to the mixture, whisk until combined.
  6. Place parchment paper on a baking tray and use a cookie scoop (or other kind of large spoon) to place the dough on the parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes.
